In late September of 2021, the Victory crew traveled to Brentwood, Missouri to outfit the local school district’s gym with a new batting cage. This specific cage was our Standard Retractable Batting Cage System, with dimensions of 70’ long x 14’ wide x 12’ tall. Our Standard Retractable System is—like our Hands Free System—an automatic batting cage that can be stored in the ceiling. However, the storage process of the Standard System operates differently from our Hands Free System in that it does not have a bottom frame that raises and lowers automatically. Instead, the top frame lowers to the user’s waist height, and they then lift the net onto the frame, making sure that it is all clear from the cables. The cage is then able to be stored, optimizing ceiling space just like the Hands Free counterpart. Consequently, while our Standard Retractable Batting Cage System does come with a little more work and maintenance from the user compared to our Hands Free Systems, such an alternative offers another option to customers that perhaps may not need to store a system as frequently, or are looking for something less costly. Regardless, this option was the best fit for our customer, and we were happy to match and outfit the school with the athletic equipment best suited for them.
