Back in mid-April, the Victory Athletics crew traveled to North Knox High School in Indiana to equip their new athletic facility with a completely automatic shell cage and dividers, as well as over 10,000 square feet of turfing. A shell cage is unique in that it fully encapsulates the facility, creating a large area that can safely contain balls. This specific shell cage had five dividers, which resulted in 6 lanes when the automatic divider vinyls were lowered. Additionally, the netting used for the cage was #30 golf netting, which has smaller squares for more versatile usage. Although the installation of such a complex, fully-automatic system can be very challenging, it was nothing that the Victory crew couldn’t handle. Once finished with the shell cage, the team moved to the 48 oz. turf—which is much more durable than the typical 26 oz. The outfitting of the turf was seamless, a serious upgrade from the previously dull concrete. The space was completely transformed once the Victory Athletics crew was finished, leaving yet another satisfied customer with a professional-level facility.
